Grooming

When Empire Hospitality provide staff to clients, we work in conjunction with the client, in order to ensure that they have the right staffing numbers in place so as to maintain and exceed their standards as well as to be cost effective to the client. Due to the large number of highly trained staff on our books, our rostering supervisors are able to supply staff at very short notice. Staff are selected based on their relevant experience and suitability regarding their particular assignment. Staff are cross-trained in numerous hotels so as to ensure that all levels of standards are achieved.

Grooming is essential to our business as our employees are ‘the face’ of Empire Hospitality.
All staff must adhere to grooming standards, and not deviate from them.
Eating, drinking, smoking or chewing gum is strictly not permitted where hotel guests amongst guests. A designated smoking area will be provided at each hotel and can be used only during meal breaks.

Black non- slip shoes are to be worn. No laces are permitted. Shoes are to be always clean and polished

Hair to be of a natural colour, and if below the shoulders to be tied back with plain black elastic

Deodorant should be worn
Name badge to be worn and in good condition
   

Training

Empire Hospitality staff are highly trained so as to be committed to excel consistently in their work, and are able to adapt to their specific assignments. Staff undergo a defined training programme, specific to their assignment. Training is undertaken in conjunction with the client in order to ensure that the client’s objectives, goals and expectations are met.

The training process is ongoing and constantly reviewed by Empire Hospitality in conjunction with the client. The importance that Empire Hospitality places on training and development ensures that all staff fully understand the expectations of the client and their hotel, so as to ensure a delivery of service as if the staff were employed directly by the client.

   

Occupational Health and Safety

Empire Hospitality recognizes the health & safety of all its employees. From the initial interview, staff are made aware of our policy towards occupational health and safety (OH&S). Staff read and sign documents to confirm their awareness and understanding of the relevant OH&S policies and procedures. During practical training staff are also made aware of OH&S issues relevant to their specific hotel. A safe work environment is our continual aim and we are continually working closely with our clients to upgrade safety issues.
